because i thought u can trade in ur iphone xr, they take off like $800 and u just have to pay the difference?
"Apple - iPhone (T-Mobile) is no longer available for pickup at the store you selected.
Sorry about that! You still might be able to get it if you check nearby stores for availability."
Then you'll search for a store and it will not be available within 250 miles
Will Best Buy store adjust that overcharge tax when picking up ?
Can I use different credit cards when picking up ?
Additional Note: Since you have place the order already and if you cancel and reorder then the pick up date will move further to Nov 26 (I am on this boat). So its better to wait until your item is ready for pick up, in that way its reserved for you and then follow the above steps. Also you've to be lucky that it will not be fixed by then. Still its a worth taking chance as you might end up saving lot on taxes.

I placed an order on October 19th for 13 pro max and trading in 12 pro max, both in 128gb. Received ready for pickup e-mail on October 28th even though my estimated pickup day was November 19th. Went straight to the cell phone area today, they asked for my ID and e-mail with the barcode. Checked my phone for any issues, and then proceeded to reset the phone for me (after asking me if i had backed it up at home, which i did). Scanned the new sim card, my new phone's IMEI and handed the unopened box to me. All under 10 minutes.
This was all in Brooklyn, NY. Total for me was $136.08. Phone was $124.99 and tax was $11.09. The rep said the price that was quoted on the e-mail was the correct tax.

Just cancel and go to the store to order.
Net price was 900-550 trade in = $350. Tax at 6% should be $14. But when I went to check out, tax was $42.
First explanation - we collect tax based on where you live - your tax rate is wrong
Second - we collect tax based on the full price. Interesting…6% of 900 = $54. But I've already paid tax on my trade in, you shouldn't be double taxing me
Third explanation - my supervisor says an error is charging you double tax. Ok…I clear the cache etc and now the tax is $26
Comment from rep - looks like it worked! No…either you taxing me on $420 or your rate is off by about 1-2%. Ironically, when I added a random $1000 TV, tax was exactly $60
I asked if they can reduce the price of the phone by $5. But apparently they can't and am told I should go into BB in person.

TMO chat said it was still a post-paid plan and therefor ok.
Best Buy chat said they only knew about the plans on their web site.
