You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I have an unused iPhone SE2 256gb that is carrier locked to Red Pocket. Can I trade it in "as-is" to Best Buy toward the purchase of the iPhone 13, or does it need to be unlocked first?

If it is eligible for trade in it's current condition, what option do I select in the drop down list of carriers on the Best Buy website when checking out? The only options available on the list are a few of the major cell phone carriers or "unlocked."

No need to unlock. I believe there is also an "other" choice.

The only carrier choices listed online for the SE2 trade-in are AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Unlocked. I guess I can do the deal in store and let the rep decide, but I prefer to do the transaction online first. Since the phone is for GSMA RedPocket, I may just select AT&T. Thanks for the reply.

Is there a limit to the number of times this deal can be done per T-Mobile account?

I vaguely recall that someone posted there is a limit of 4 devices per account for this deal (provided there is adequate stock at Best Buy, of course, which is mostly depleted now at many stores).

I can't find that info here now in this massive thread, so asking now if someone knows the limits according to the actual terms of the deal. TIA

Interesting… And the system didn't say his plan wasn't 5G eligible, I'll keep that in mind. I'll try a different store, but they're almost all sold out of the mini's so we'll see

I don't think they care much for lock status. They definitely didn't check mine. As long as it's functioning with no cracks. They'll check the model and that's it

Most of us here think it is worth it so did this deal. That probably in part is a big reason that stock is now low or totally depleted for many variants at most Best Buy stores.

It's not often you can upgrade so easily and cheaply to a flagship variant, especially without other hoops to jump through like prolonged bill credits or adding more lines. This is about as straightforward as it gets.

If you can find the variants you want in stock, it would be worth it to upgrade both phones.

Thanks for the info. Stock is depleted on most variants in 250mi radius. Dang.

Wish there was a better way to check stock, BB site sucks. Just show me whats available.
