You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I am using a Tmobile account but I do not have the control of the account.
Is it possible to find someone else with a tmobile plan to get the discount? On the Bestbuy website, it asks for SSN and cell phone numbers. Is that for the whole process?
I just wonder if I would need the primary account holder in the store for this. I do not mind its being locked to tmobile (most people is asking about unlocking).

You won't need to be the account holder, but you will need at least the last 4 of the account holder's SSN. As long as you aren't making any changes to the lines/plan, you don't have to be an authorized user or the account holder.

Whoever is saying to enter 1111 for last 4 digits, I get this:
Something's wrong. The phone number and last 4 of SSN combination you entered doesn't match carrier records. Please try again.

When I enter in the correct last 4 I get this:
We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later.


If I go to add a line with no upgrade, it works.

Maybe go to the store and place the order. I struggled placing order online after my 2nd order and fought with it for a week before I went to the store and placed a order.

Basically the same as the promo before this one. They bumped the trade in by 100 but removed the activation 100 discount. And people said they'd wait till they eventually do a later better deal lol. Black Friday perhaps? Hmm don't see it happening

u can ask account holder to make u also as authorize person.for making any changes. In this way u can give ur SSN for buying from best buy. I did same to one of my line and best buy took his SSN. Ask account holder to call t mobile rep for this.

best way for you is go to store for placing order. It would be very smooth without any glitch. I too directly went to store and got phones. Before going to store , please check which store is having phones available. Otherwise u can place order from nearbuy store and then pickup from store where it is available.
