You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Went into Best Buy to do this deal
Traded in a regular 12 that I bought from GameStop for $580. Used an upgrade from my parents T-Mobile account so didn't have to pay extra for a plan.

Also even though the phone is locked to T-Mobile my Mint Sim works on it just fine.

I called T-Mobile to unlock my 13 mini and they said since Best Buy sold me a Sprint phone They would need to request sprint to unlock . I told it was totally non sense because the model number is same irrespective of the carrier and my phone was activated in the store as a T-Mobile carrier and my phone still shows it's sim locked. They didn't know what else to do and finally gave me an option that they are going to reach Apple to unlock my device

Any reason why they are canceling orders? No stock availability? My earlier pickup date was Nov 19 and order was canceled.

Edit: I am an existing customer and I placed this order on 10/21.

For any new T-Mobile customers getting their orders canceled, you may want to call T-Mobile to see what the issue is. You may have to order your SIM card (BYOD) from T-Mobile directly and then order your phone from the Best Buy website. 😉

Originally, I ordered on October 23rd for a November 26th pickup and that was canceled when the phone came in early and Best Buy couldn't activate it with my T-Mobile account (I'm assuming). 😩 Whenever I tried to place a new order and reached the credit check screen, I kept getting the error: "Please try again we had an issue, but it should be fixed now."

I ended up having to call T-Mobile to set up an account over the phone. The rep said that he could see that I tried to open an account, but it kept failing. The problem was that they needed to ask me some additional identity/credit verification questions. The entire process took ~30 minutes and my SIM card is arriving today (shipped overnight).

Hopefully, I'll be able to activate it and then reorder the phone via Best Buy today. *fingers crossed*

UPDATE: Had to call T-Mobile to activate the SIM and verify more information 😩 (took about 10 minutes), but afterward I was finally able to order the phone from Best Buy using the "upgrade" option.

Not sure what u mean but the iPhone 12 was $540 before taxes. I had roughly $370 in gamestop credits so I only paid $200 for it technically. 725 for trade in minus 200 means I saved $525.

Sounds like the integration of T-Mobile and Best Buy is starting to improve. It was certainly "not ready for prime time" at the date of iPhone 13 launch. I'm hoping to do one more trade - an SE 2020 for an iPhone 13 but availability is now SO limited as compared to Sept/October.

Existing customer and no line to add...getting $295 back for iPhone 8+. 13 mini 128 GB comes to $457 after taxes. Is this best deal as it gets? TIA.

If you want just one phone without troubling carrier or number then this is current deal that gives best trade in value. I traded in xsmax for 500 to get 13pm for 760 oops including taxes.

If you have Costco, all they had in my area was regular 13 or 13mini, no pro. That's buy one get second discounted without trade in which is current best deal. May be wait a week to see BF deals. In my case 13pm is what wife wanted and I don't have time for dealing with this one, so gone with bb trade in.

No. You'll need to message T-Mobile on Twitter or FB and provide 1) IMEI, 2) phone number, and 3) proof of purchase.

They'll get it unlocked for you within 3 days.

I was able to insert an ATT sim and get it activated and unlocked through ATT

That is correct. I was told the same when I traded mine in. It only showed trade value, not promo. This was on 10/26 I picked up one of my orders.
