No, you would need to transfer apps and data from a backup. The sim has nothing to do with that part of it.

Transferring your old sim to your new iPhone simply allows you to instantly use your current phone number and active line on your new iPhone.

For transferring apps and data on iPhones, most users use iCloud to back up their old phone and then transfer the backed up apps and data from the cloud to the new iPhone. There are other ways to do it but that method is a very easy and secure process, even for newbs.

Ans: With service, of course. Otherwise you are no longer with T-Mobile and why would they unlock the phone?

Does this mean after 40 days if I leave I can move to Mint?

No, the data and apps are not stored in the sim card. You can use the following approaches to do that

Wireless:
- You can transfer the date from your old iPhone to new iPhone using Apple Quick Start feature, the following link has instructions for that https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210216 [apple.com]
Wired:
- I would recommend taking a back up (if possible encrypted) in your PC using Finder/iTunes, you should be to restore the backup on your new iPhone. The following links have instructions on how to do that.

Just check it online with Best Buy using your model of trade-in device during the initial stages of the online checkout process. It will give you a current value inclusive of any bonuses. It also locks in that value once you complete the transaction, and also eliminates dealing with Best Buy reps who generally don't know squat.

I had placed an order some days before and had to cancel it to change the color option. Now when I try to upgrade getting error that there is a pending upgrade even though my order was cancelled and money refunded. Any suggestion on how to resolve this would be helpful.

Most likely need to go to the store. Several SDers reported same issue

Nope, certain like TM has extra bonus.

11 is $540 if I remember right, I traded one in last week for 550

Yeah I thought online trade in value for iphone only, not for samsung device.
