You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

I found out about it by accident after paying off an EIP, account history just said "Unlock request submitted" simultaneously with the payment event.

This deal does not involve TM giving extra credits. In the past TM reps asked me to keep for at least 90 days she they don't get charge back.

Are you guys placing the order on BB site? I have been trying to order online for over a week and keep getting this error message no matter how many times I try and have used different browsers. I am positive everything is correct: Please try again we had an issue, but it should be fixed now.

I went ahead and just signed up for the $20 unlimited talk & text (postpaid) plan, which according to the rep also includes 4.5 GB of 3G data. SIM card is coming in 2 days. Will report back if this deal works.

I'm one of those noobs LMAO Wondering if we can sticky something to the first page if there are already answers.

Coming from Freedompop then Ringplus and now Tello, I'm new to the major carriers/phone plans so I have some noob questions.

Ultimate goal: I want to have an iPhone 13 and use it on Tello. Is this even possible through this deal?

I ordered the prepaid Straight Talk iPhone 12 Mini from Walmart (took three tries because they kept canceling for "fraud" ugh).

- Do I place the order now for an iPhone 13 at Best Buy or do I have to wait until I have the 12 Mini in hand?

- At what point do I need to select a plan at Best Buy? (eg, when placing my order for the 13; when picking up the 13; some other moment in time) Or do I only have to "activate"?

- When I pick up the 13 and trade in the 12 can I leave it (the 12) in the original package? (If things don't work out I want to be able to just return the 12 to Walmart)

- I see that the 13 needs to be activated and active while I attempt to unlock through T-Force and may need to hold for up to 40 days. What would be the best plan to have the phone on while I wait it out? (Or does "activation" not necessitate having a plan?)
