Best Buy doesn't say anything in the disclaimer regarding whether or not devices must be paid in full prior to trade in
Normally I would own a device for multiple years, but seems like when you trade in a fully working device it doesn't contribute to environmental waste; just gets resold to another customer as a refurbished product

For your tax part. I paid everything off upfront so nothing being bill to my tmo account.
