Has anyone run into problems ordering and setting up a new TMobile account through the Best Buy order process?
Has anyone traded in a new Total Wireless iPhone 12 mini?
This deal can only be done with T-Mobile account that has been set up using SSN.
i even tried with my wife's name/ info and still same issue

Quote from zyrst
I did two trade-ins and found two things listed in the wiki are different with my experience:
1. You need to currently be on T-Mobile; otherwise you'll need to sign up for a new plan which will have a hard credit pull.
I opened new account and gave SSN but was told it was not hard pull. My credit score had no change since then;
2. After the phone is unlocked, cancel the T-Mobile plan; ask them to pro-rate any current charges.
After the two phones were unlocked within one week of purchase, I called to cancel the service. I was charged $130 for two Magenta lines. There was no prorate charge. I had to pay full amount in my "last bill".
Got it thx
