You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

After weeks of getting the error when inputting phone numbers from my lines, I got this to go through last night with the help of a neighbor who also has T-mo lines by using his account info. Picking up today.

Just a cautionary tale. Weeks ago I put in an active AT&T prepaid SIM card from my wife phone and it was locked to AT&T prepaid which required 6 months of service before unlock request. Couldn't get it to unlock on the AT&T unlock portal. Haven't tried the inactive SIM card method.

How do u ask for an inactive sim at Apple store without buying any device?

I think Walmart iPhone 12 mini is $349 now.
Since iPhone 13 wasn't in stock at BB, I submitted an online order for in store pickup. Entered my trade in info in that Online order. Will have to go in to BB to pickup iPhone 13 and give them the 12 mini.

I placed an order yesterday for 13 with the $600 trade in value.
Should I cancel that order or place a new order at the same store?

I remember having two active orders at two different stores last month and picked up the one that came first and canceled the other after. but this time, only one store has the phone in stock around me.

Yeah of course it's going to lock if it's a active sim. Hence you need a inactive one. Apple store gives them away for free, any carrier just ask and you can get att one.

Sure, but what it sounds that you're not getting is if the SIM card isn't physically inserted, it's not locked to that network yet.
