You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

In California, if you order and pay online, you will be charged on the full price of the phone. If you go into the store and do everything and pay there, then tax is only charged based on what you actually pay, i.e. the price of the phone after subtracting trade in value.
This is not true to all who is in CA
I just paid taxes on full price of iphone mini 13. 😭

can anybody tell me if tmobile unlimited text and talk only plan(20$/month) has additional charge? for example, sim start kit $25? hard pull or soft pull? I'm planing to get one before trade in.

thx
Only 7.50$ per sim and no other costs. I just opened 2 lines at Costco this morning. Planning to do the BB online upgrade tonight or head to BB with trade ins. I think its a hard pull of credit history.

Very correct.. all the step they tell you to reset and all that doesn't need it anymore. Whenever that "no sim restrictions" appear, then you're golden. When I first submitted and told it would take 2-3 days, I would check that setting like every 30 mins to see if it changed.
they confirmed it's unlocked, but need to fully reset the iphone. the setting > general > about sim lock still shows restricted... I am on wifi... so you guys are saying this setting will auto update itself without having to fully reset the phone ? if so, what is the estimated time frame for this to happen ?

If after 24 hrs and it still said "restricted" after rep told you it was unlocked on their end. That means they didn't do it properly and have to resubmit the request again. Happened to me twice after they told me it was unlocked but never did. I contacted them again and they resubmitted and 1 unlocked within 30 mins, the 2nd after 2 days. Don't have to do anything. It just automatically change to no sim restriction if TM process the request correctly.

You can try to reset; but highly doubt that will work. Doesn't hurt to try. But 3 of my phones didn't have to do anything. It just changed to no restriction automatically.

I might have missed it but what method did you use to unlock? There's the ATT way which is unlocked less than a minute and then there is the T-Mobile way which requires you to contact T-Mobile and request it. It can take anywhere from 12-48 hours and maybe even multiple times to unlock

I did 4 upgrades early on. All requested unlock via tforce. They took about 36-48 hours each except for one. That one is still on carrier locked but T-Mobile insists it's unlocked. It's my sisters phone so I have to try out a different SIM card when I get a chance to see her.

My last upgrade to 13 mini I did a ATT unlock, took less than a minute after clicking the link in the confirmation email.

He was too late for that. He went the traditional route which is TForce. If your sister phone still said "carrier locked" try non Tmo sim won't work. Happened to me once. They told it was unlocked but never did. I have non tmo sim to test it. They had to resubmitted the request and it unlocked within 2 days.

I saw my phone changed from carrier locked to no restriction because I checked the setting like every 30 mins.

Only if you haven't activated with tmo sim yet.

cool, thanks, will see. It was just interesting that the rep confirmed this multiple times, as I was stunned I have to fully reset the phone, but he insisted this needs to be done.

I did the normal unlock via TForce as it would take as long for them to unlock than to wait for the new SIM card to be here. But again, they did not disclaim upfront I have to fully reset the phone, which IMO is absolutely unnecessary for a software restriction, a phone restart would be the maximum that needs to be done. They insist that the Apple server needs to be pinged for it to be unlocked and that only happens when you set up the phone after a reset.

Reset your phone and prove to them that reset is unnecessary.
