Nearby stores are all out of stock so I need to place an order online.
1. which options do I need to choose? activate today -> I want a new phone number->trade in-> choose any plan ?
2. I'm trading in the total wireless phone, should I choose the "unlocked" option?
3. Do I need to cancel any Tmobile plan after canceling it?
1. Went to Apple store, asked for ATT sim, no reason give, just need an ATT sim. They gave me one for free.
2. Then inserted the SIM, boot the phone, wait for iphone to go through the activation screen,.
3. Once the iphone boots, submit ATT request online, confirm the email you get,
4. 2 mins later, once you receive second email, insert any other sim! your iphone is unlocked
I'd hate it if my friend's current SIM stops working.

hope you get a good rep

In my case, they provided the phone and a SIM, they didn't even switch my line to the new SIM, I just popped the old one in and was able to go online, make calls, etc.
Also, if the online pick up line is too long, you can go straight to the mobile kiosk and the rep will bring the phones from storage.
I wonder if I go in store and do everything there (without anything done online) will I pay only tax on the $169 that I'm actually paying out of pocket, i.e. $12.25 in taxes??
Thanks for any help you can provide! (or anyone that reads this)
On a side note, for those of you on grandfathered T-Mobile family plans who have no plans to leave. The $200/yr Best Buy Total Tech service plan is so worth it to get, it'll cover the Apple Care+ for all Apple devices purchased from Best Buy for 2 years as long as you keep Total Tech every year.
We got Total Tech for discounts on TV mounting and checking out one of our appliances, but ended up loving it for the Apple Care+. LOL!!!

and let's not start with the "why would you spend $800 on a phone only to put on a $5 case"

It isn't best case, but you don't have hammer or constantly drop you phone for no farking reason, this case is great.
Also, for those in CA.
I kept reading about how bestbuy online charges you full tax, I bought 5 iphones 13 already, and I wasn't charged full tax.
I don't know why people keep spread misinformation, but just go online and check, it taxes on the amount after trade in, not on the MSRP.
I just completed the trade-in at bestbuy. During the order placement the total trade-in value including the promotional value shown as $775. But the receipt they gave me at store showed the value as $400 without promotional value. Is this normal? I didn't have to pay additional at the counter, does this mean they would add that to my T-mobile plan little confused, 1st time doing this trade-in thing at best buy.
