You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Had to pay full tax in Colma CA today. =(
But bonus was that the 128GB he tried to ring me up and activate was a demo, and then the only other phone in stock was 256GB, so he gave it to me for the same price.
Oh man that was the store I was about to choose too!

Something similar happened to me, I ordered the mini 128GB online, just realized today that they handed me a 256GB.
Invoice says 128 and is correctly priced.
Same store?

Just an update ya'll. Have been watching this thread to upgrade using my Samsung S21 where trade in value was at $600. Just checked and it suddenly bumped up to $775 ($600 base + 175 promo).
I ordered S21 Ultra for wifey with it.

I bought mine from visible 256GB $1200 + Tax.
$200 mastercard after 3 months of service (-$55)
And right now you also get free airpods pro.

It automatically unlocks after 60 days, I soft unlocked mine in the meantime.
Does visible run a CC check?

Looks like I can't do the best buy promo because my account is a biz one. Even though it's running off a social. Sigh. $500 trade in loss from my XS Max. 😕

Don't provide a SSN, ask for the no credit check option, I did mine at a costco kiosk.
Also try a variation of your name if you've had credit problems in the past.

Looks like the run the name through some sort of collections agency DB.

I had a derogatory mark mistakenly applied by TWC to my credit and then reversed by the bureaus, but sprint would always instantly deny my requests, even though I have great credit score and history. I later found out they do collections through the same agency.

Thank you! I might have to try this out. How did you find out about the derogatory remark?

For our family's purchases, we were charged the sales tax for our home address, not the sales tax rate for the Best Buy location where we upgraded/activated our phones. The tax charged was for the full amount of the phones, NOT the after trade-in purchase price. We're in CA too, if that makes a difference.

On a side note, for those of you on grandfathered T-Mobile family plans who have no plans to leave. The $200/yr Best Buy Total Tech service plan is so worth it to get, it'll cover the Apple Care+ for all Apple devices purchased from Best Buy for 2 years as long as you keep Total Tech every year.
We got Total Tech for discounts on TV mounting and checking out one of our appliances, but ended up loving it for the Apple Care+. LOL!!!
Total tech is 200 per year though which is admittedly a lot. How much would Apple care have cost you per year on your new phones if you paid for a year of apple care?

Also, unless I missed it I don't see where you say whether you did your process entirely in store or if you did the initial ordering online..?

I would say order one online and wait till the last day to pick up and if something show before that in the store then go and buy and cancel this later. I did same but order in two different store for the pickup and after picking up in one store cancelled the other one.
Hey, great idea. I'll order online to pick up at a really far store and wait several days before picking up in case the phone I want comes in stock at a closer store. If it does, then I'll just cancel (not pick up) the online order.

I don't see PayPal as an option at the check out page; any idea why ? Their terms say "You can't combine PayPal and a credit card/debit card"; but I'm not.

Any ideas ?

Will using Paypal Key trigger the $25 off $250 bonus or no?

This is right, in NY you are correctly taxed only for the difference and not the full amount.

Picked up my last trade in today using Sams Club 12 Mini order. Traded in for Starlight iPhone 13 for a total $500 including tax and cost of the 12 Mini. Very quickly unlocked via ATT method and it should sell pretty quick. Some awesome people in this thread and I appreciate y'all.
So you bought and paid online and finished the transaction in store?

My tax if I do it online is a random $43.xx which I can't figure out: the sales tax rate here is 7.25%. The 13 regular (non pro) costs 799, the 12 mini trade is 630, 799-630=169, so it should have shown taxes at $58 if it was the full amount on the 799 phone, or only $12 if it was only on the 169 difference, but instead it shows online as $43 in tax..?

If you're in CA I believe that's the case because of how tax is handled, but if you're in another state you might be OK ordering online for instore pickup from the sounds of it.
Or maybe it'll be somewhere in between lol not sure what I'm doing wrong:

Very unique, never seen it like this. BB system is sooo bad lol

I did one trade in store, total $400 trade value, paid 1100-400= $700x tax rate.

Another online order was taxed on $1100
For the one where you were only charged tax on the $700, did you do the whole process in store without any part of the transaction completed online?

Did you do anything with iPhone or was both your trade and the phone you purchased S21s (from your post it looks like you traded in an s21 for an s21 ultra). I don't see how you got an extra 200 when you do this, when selecting to trade in an s21 it offers 575 for me (not 775) if I'm trying to buy a new s21 ultra.

iPhone 13 unlock, at least those done via request from T-Mobile, do not need a phone reset, as they will automatically show No Sim Restrictions when unlocked. I did 6 so far, all did it the same way. Reset does nothing as far as unlocking it, and that is coming from a Tforce rep who submitted all of my unlocks.
Alright, completely different experiences here. Chatted w/ TForce again. They confirmed unlock status has been granted but can only be achieved by two ways
(1) insert a non-TMO SIM card or
(2) fully reset the iphone

I had them confirm this twice.

Since I did not have another nano-sim card, I did do a full phone reset. Before the reset the phone was still showing "SIM locked" restriction, after the phone reset, immediately after initial set up, Settings > About > Carrier Lock now shows "No SIM restrictions"
