You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Guys, Need some help on unlocking my phone. I called T-mobile customer service an hour ago to pay-off my phone balances & get it unlocked. The agent confirmed to me that onnce i pay-off my balances then the agent can submit a request. I did the payment and the agent confirmed it. She was trying to send a request for unlock & she was not able to do it from her side. She then says since i brought the phone from Best Buy, she asked me to go to Best Buy store and check with them. This is not correct right? The phone shows its carrier locked. Any ideas how to get it unlocked ? Thanks on advance.

I'm not sure but even so if you just activated may take couple days before you can even buy as others are having same issues of not being able to buy right away
