I understand that the ATT unlock trick works.
My question to the Experts: If my phone is on the 30-month payment plan with T-Mobile, is this ATT unlock still working?
My brother ordered the 13pro and just got it yesterday. They did not activate the phone at the store but he picked the 30-month payment plan. He's a Tmobil member but for sure they will not unlock his phone until the payment plan paid off.

The device is in "flex" mode pending insertion of a SIM card. If you know how to do ATT "unlock trick" it is wise to insert the ATT SIM card first, unlock, then use the device on any carrier. As long as the TMobile account is paid each month, the bill credits keep flowing - TMobile does not seem to care about which phone runs the SIM of the account - many have traded in phones still on bill credits and even though the phone is gone the credits keep coming.

No it doesn't it's a prepaid service, all you need is your address and credit card (or paypal).
You can use affirm to finance the phone, and they don't do hard pulls.
After you receive the prepaid $200 Mastercard, you can use it towards your Affirm loan.

Thanks Dan for quick reply. I did the same with my PM order (expected delivery is 12/17). I have another question/concern: when my phone came and for some reason, ATT caught up with all the requests and close out the loophole. If I do not realize they close that loophole and insert the ATT sim, does that mean the phone will be stuck with ATT carrier?

I would have to research the possible recourse. If you put the phone in DFU mode and restore to factory setting via that route you may be able to get it to revert to "flex" policy and insert a different card. You could also check your network of ATT account holders who could request unlock via their ATT account on that same portal.

Why not just contact T force through twitter?

Much less risky and proper channel to get unlock!

And most questions have been answered in wiki!

It should be good if you have postpaid Att I assume. Which I do so hopefully BB rep will not insert tmobile sim into 13 when I pick up but have to wait for WM 12 minis from Fedex it seems delayed in Sacramento ☹️

If the attempt to work the ATT "trick" caused a SIM lock to ATT network there is nothing T-Mobile can do. I'm not sure why you are referring me to the WIKI when I've been on the thread regularly since September and am making a cogent response to a person who claims failure upon using a particular unlock method.

Just picked up 13 pro max trade in 12 pro max $137 after taxes

Signed up new line scan sim card and imei outside box did not open to the box or anything

I signed up for new number I am not going to input tmobile sim going to use att sim to unlock

I never received my new number how do I cancel the service? Or it only gets activated when I input sim?

I don't need tmobile service so any recommendations of help how to cancel? If i call tmobile they going to ask for my tel number bestbuy did not give me a new number

Hey everyone, I got the Walmart iPhone 12 mini I was hoping to do the t-mobile deal at BestBuy. Can anyone give me tips to trade-in for iPhone 13 mini? I haven't touched the Walmart phone yet. What are some tricks/advice I need to do to get this deal without any issues?
