You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

Safest method is to contact T-force via Twitter.
I agree but my problem is I choose the 30-month no interest payment plan and they will NOT unlock for me unless the phone paid off. So I'm still leaning toward the ATT unlock trick.
BUT I will be f*cked if this loophole is closed.

I saw a few comments with people saying they signed up for the $20 plan with no data but data still works. TMo data works on 5G phones even without a data plan is my theory. I have a burner Oneplus 8 with no data plan and the data has been working at 5G speeds for the last 18 months 🤷

I'm expecting my ATT SIM card in a day or 2 & some of these recent posts regarding the ATT SIM card not unlocking sound concerning. I'm planning to have my iphone 13 unlocked using the ATT sim method when it arrives - now it's beginning to sound like that's no longer the case. Should I just stick with the T-Mobile method even though it may take a week or so?
Anyone tried unlocking with an active AT&T postpaid sim?

I ended up doing multiple orders but sequentially, not simultaneously. Order, pick up the "upgrade," wait a couple of days and order "upgrade" again.

I was prepared for the "trick" to fail and would have pestered my cousin to use the portal as an ATT customer as they are allowed several iPhone unlocks each year. Remember, you have a receipt saying the phone is "paid in full." Do you have anyone in your life who has been with ATT for a while?

It's not a loophole, it's just activating a flex phone and choosing to initially lock it to AT&T.

If you don't owe AT&T anything, the phone is unlocked shortly after submitting the request.

Everything else is noise and unnecessary speculation.

I'm happy to see your strong feedback. What is harder to explain is "why do some folks get a scary message about waiting 48 hours" while other fly through in about 48 seconds. I've posted some speculation about what is going on but I don't have any more trade-ins to practice on at this time to try to duplicate the error message received.

I have not read any reports of this scenario but I'm assuming it would work IF you say "existing customer" and enter correct information for the account associated with that SIM. I've had my cousin unlock iPhones for me in the past since he was eligible. He used to get mad as though he has limited number of unlocks per year and did not want to burn one on my behalf.

I really wanted to try it but then I don't have anything to test it out. I just did a test on one phone that I just sold. Of course it hasn't activated with any carrier yet. I got the denied email within minute after clicking the link to confirm and it said "IMEI is not match with ATT". It was expected because the phone hasn't activated with ATT yet. So I'm sure the portal working just fine.

It's called the Unlimited Talk & Text Plan [t-mobile.com]. It's $20/month postpaid with no data. There's no page to sign up for the plan on their website.

You can, however, sign up for the plan online through chat with one of TM's sales reps. Just make sure they sign you up for the right plan - don't sign up for a prepaid plan.

You can also go into a store and sign up for it.

I signed up for it with a chat agent and the SIM card was shipped via two-day. TM failed at setting up my account and phone number.

I had to tweet with T-Force to get them to fix it and it's taken them two days to admit that their system didn't activate my SIM so they had to manually set up a new line and send out another SIM card. It's been a royal PITA.
Do you know how to check to see if it is postpaid?
