Yes, did this change when this deal expired or was their something else?
No idea when the trade value changed for the SE2. However, the deal overall is not expired for many other trade-in models. Trade values have fluctuated for most models since this deal first started, but most have dropped by only $20-$50 or so. The SE2 has tanked.

I have not been following this thread recently. When you asked just now about the SE2, I checked it on Best Buy site for you since I happen to be on there anyway. I was surprised how much it tanked. The SE1 is actually worth more right now. Crazy.

I traded in a locked SE2 for iPhone 13 when this deal started many weeks ago, and I think the trade value was $360 or $370 at that time, but I can't recall exactly. Sorry you missed out on that value. Wait and check it daily, maybe it will return to the higher value, then jump on it to lock it in if it does spike back up again.

Same with 12 mini..only 600 now 😞
What was it earlier, $630? Not too bad of drop, but yeah, trade values are lower now across the board.

ATT sim from Microsoft arrived today. Pop into Iphone 13 and got unlocked within a minute after clicking the verification link.
Did you use a gmail or yahoo email to unlock?

I've used the ATT unlock portal in the past but today I keep encountering "Oops! Looks like we're having network difficulties. Try again later." before I can submit the unlock request.

The "Next" button is grayed out so I don't get a chance to enter my contact information.

(I've also seen a "Sorry, looks like you stepped away . . . " error as well.)

Has anyone else come across these?
Any updates on this issue?

It was at $630 for over 1 month. Only $30 difference, 5% decrease, still heck of a deal

I just traded in my old iphone and got an Iphone 13. They handed it to me without opening the retail box. I wonder what is the lock status of the new iphone. Is it locked to Tmobile still or locked to whichever carrier that activates it first? Is it possible to make it unlocked without opening the box?

The second question no you can't. Have to insert some kind of sim card. It gets locked to the first usa only carrier it comes in contact with

I was able to request an unlock from T mobile without inserting a sim card. Does this mean that if I insert a sim card now, it will relock itself? Was hoping to give it to my brother still sealed for Xmas.

This morning, I used a not activated ATT SIM I ordered from Microsoft (see the wiki on where to buy one) to unlock an Iphone 13 mini. On the ATT unlocking page, I initially got the message "Sorry, looks like you stepped away" and after I refreshed the page I could enter all the information but could not click the "Next" button because it was greyed out. I was using Firefox with an Ad blocker and some extensions loaded. I switched to the Microsoft Edge browser with no extensions and the ATT unlocking page worked. I could enter the IMEI number click Next and enter my email and my cell phone (I used my normal cell phone number not the Tmobile number I opened to buy this phone). I used a gmail address and shortly after I clicked submit I got the email to confirm the unlock. After clicking the confirm link in the email the phone was unlocked!

Note Best buy did not activate the phone as it was sealed in the box and the sales person said, "do you want me to activate the sim for you" to which I responded "no thanks I can take care of it!" I hope this helps someone.

No because I'm their system the device will show up as non TMobile. You can request to get it unlocked but no agent is going to do it basically

1000s + SDers used this trick and they did not have any issue. If they did, trust me, SD would be flooded with complaints. I have not used it myself since I'm still waiting for my 2 PMs coming tomorrow (finger crossed). I already got my ATT sim from MS came and anxiously to try.
I did see 2-3 people complained that the ATT trick did not work for them. I suspected that they did something wrong or more story to it.
For the next couple days, we will see what happens.
please don't make assumptions. You haven't even tried and passing judgments about others doing something wrong. People including me have tried the same steps exactly as described on wiki and are stuck. It's either a hit or miss.

I tried it again this morning using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. Finally, got it to work on Firefox in a private window. The "Next" button was grayed out at first but I refreshed the page, entered the phone info, and was able to move to the next page to enter my contact information and submit the request.

I got the confirmation email and clicked on it but the page didn't load correctly in Safari, which is my default browser on my Mac. I copied the email confirmation link into Firefox and it loaded perfectly. Checked my phone and it was unlocked.
