I bought this exact drive back in end of June 2021. It didn't feel much of an upgrade over my SATA SSD so it makes me wonder.

what you actually care about is random iops (how long it takes it to find something at a random place) this SSDs have miles better than HDDs and you can see very little difference between sata and pcie SSDs. The only thing which was actually making a difference but I never got around to try it is optane.
