I paid $399 for my Hisense 55H8F less than 2 years ago in November.

It has all the features of the U8G that is now selling for $849.99.

Over twice the price ? ? ? ?

Hisense's model numbering scheme changed this year. Based on features, the H8F is more in-line with this year's U6G... and the U6G rates much better. I had an H8F and returned it because of the known motion handling issues.

That guy posted the same thing in 3 different Hisense threads. His TV has terrible motion handling but maybe he doesn't notice it. If he's happy that's all that matters.

The motion handling on real world images has no "issues" and better than the lack of any motion handling like some comparable TCL and even Samsung models in my experience and opiniFon.
As mentioned above, I had an H8F and experienced the horrible motion issues described by Rtings. There are also other sources found on the web with many people having the same issues. I also tried an R8F when it was released, and it had the same issues. The GF got an H8G when it was released and it's much better all-around than the H8F. You also mentioned the H8F having "all the features" of the U8G. The H8F doesn't have features anywhere near the U8G or the U7G.

$399 just 20 months ago . . . $849 to $899 now. . .

Others may justify it now if they need/want a new TV. Not worth it and a bit of price gouging this year in IMO.

No TV for sale 20 months ago is still sold in stores today.
