I picked up the 65" version and it's not that great. My Samsung that is 5 years old PQ looks better. I'll be sending mine back sometime this week.

Some of the Hisense's have a great picture but bad reliability/QC.
Look it up. Get the warranty.

Make your life easier. Use PLEX for this TV and merely use a PC or laptop for the files you have. No idea what TV will play off a flash drive but I can assure you its not a great experience.

Wouldn't it be a better buy to go for the 55" U8G for $100 more?

Also anyone that is consider buying a Hisense - you MUST buy the extended warranty

Hisense has terrible QC/QA issues.

Bought a Hisense last year Black Friday - TV panel stopped working / bricked after 1 month of very very light use.

Luckily I purchased Geeksquad and they came and delivered a new TV 2 days later.

I would have been pissed if I had gone through the trouble of mounting it but i had it on the TV stand so it was an easy process

Geeksquad places the new box in front of the old TV and hauls the broken TV away.

What model Samsung? My u6g is blowing anything I have and considering getting the u8g now for main living room. Because I just want to watch TV in my family room now since the picture is way better.

Thats why I went with u6gr from Costco wish they carried a higher end model, would've really loved 120hz but I wanted 5 year warranty. It's 3 years without their credit card.
