I never experienced them going offline in 2.5 years. And they always reconnected after a network outage. Flawless from that perspective.
yes! They will match their own lower price during the return period. They can even do it online with the chat agent they best buy.
I found the app to be reliable and I got quick response. Very few false alarms or misses. Lots of need settings, like delay between triggers, etc.

Dumped Ring for two of these Eufy's. No more monthly charges and much better resolution.

I have this and it gets ~10 false alarms a day. Good luck working with their support to resolve. Their response and resolution is to basically set areas to ignore but you end up ignoring everything in the video.

I have this continuous recording model since February. I keep the continuous recording on, so only get 1080 resolution. I like it, but some wishes for next model: video is blurry for fast movement. 2k option for continuous. Better motion detection (I have human face detection only to avoid too many alerts). Homebase option so video is saved inside my house. Connecting to live video from app notification often slow for me. Choosing live stream while within app not an issue. Maybe only my issue.

I've had the non-CVR 2K model for over 2 years now. It's been really reliable. The human detection has false positives (ie tree branches and car tires), but I've tuned the detection zones and sensitivity to the point that false positives are fairly minimal now. Was looking to upgrade to the CVR model. Sad to hear that if you enable CVR, your video quality goes down to 1080p Frown Does this include motion triggered video recordings as well, or do those remain 2K? I can deal with that if only the CVR buffer is 1080p.

Can someone explain what the Eufy BaseStation is all about? And if I get this doorbell, and it works without the base station, what features am I missing out on?
With Base Station, your keep recordings inside of your house. Without Base Station, if a thief steals your Amazon package and rips off the door bell, you will have no footage. I cannot understand why the wired version of the doorbell cannot be used with Base Station. Makes no sense to me.

which ring did you have? I have the ring pro - and the recordings seem spotty - two times, it didn't record events... both of those times, I could've actually used it

So I have a cheapo battery doorbell (no video) currently used (does not use home chime). I found my transformer in the attic. The chime box in the hall just has wires going directly into a circuit board I think. How would I jump the chime box in this case if I get this doorbell? Unsure how that all works so hesitant to get any wired video doorbell at the moment.

I respectfully disagree with this statement. I have Ring Pro (1080p) and switched to 2K doorbell from Eufy, the motion alerts are useless and resolution is not better than Ring, if you only need a cheap Camera Bell that has unreliable motion alert then this works.

I am back to Ring as it's motion alerts are far superior.

BTW I use Ring motion alert to trigger my Hue and Lutron outside lights during night, so it is critical for me.

If you decide this for you make that decision based on the features it has today, Eufy has a habit of promising to add features to products then never delivering. (IFTTT Support still missing after years, RTSP on the original doorbell still missing, HomeBase Support etc)

I have the original and its a decent doorbell, the AI detection is ok at best and does mis-identify occasionally(tree branches and shadows), or more often you get a video of the person walking away.

Eufy is so close to being to check all of the boxes on, why there is still no ability to connect to wired version to the homebase but the battery one can is beyond me. If they could RTSP and HomeBase support for the wired doorbell with the CVR (like in the 2c) is would be a near perfect doorbell

wait does this have the wifi version as well ? im confused between these two models ... the only difference I see is OP's post has continuous recording and newer chime but no mention of wifi (able to see the camera on my phone live view/events)

OP's post:
eufy Security Wired Video Doorbell 2C,

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/eufy...Id=6425487

eufy - Smart Wi-Fi 2k Video Doorbell w/ Chime

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/eufy...Id=6460116
I was considering buying the wi-fi 2k version because I need a battery model and would like to know the difference between the two. It seems like the battery model is a superior product considering it also allows wired as an option and has SD card support in the chime.

Can anyone chime in on the differences? Is the 2C just a newer model?

The second model doesn't do continuous recording
Thanks for the info, Steve1971. I already have a security cam with 24/7 recording of my front yard, so continuous recording isn't on my wish list. I'm in for one.

Seeing some negative comments here so figured I'd share my experience. I have the 1080p wired version and the software has been great at letting me tell it to ignore zones. It also does a great job at person detection. I've never had it go out on me either.

The only thing that was a slight pin was mounting it because the wires got in the way. It also didn't work with existing chime which was disappointing.

2C has 32GB storage on the doorbell, and has 5-day continuous recording.
