I have used many of these and regular sharpies on duct tape outside. The fade resistant ones were garbage. They faded in 6 weeks or less and were almost unreadable after 2 months. The regular sharpies lasted years with little to no change.

Good to know. I would've assumed the "Extreme" was just a new marketing ploy for the same old Sharpies and they were the same as always.

maybe it's because I'm using 'industrial' Sharpies but I found that on 600-grit sanded stainless steel, it didnt last a month in my garden.

I swear I buy this sh!t once every year, the same 4-pack, and I never know where they go! The last time I bought them was July last year. No, I have no idea where they are. So I bought another set.

Got kids? That was where mine always went...along with lighters from the brick of BICs I had leftover from when I smoked. Though they swear it wasn't them. They forget that I was a kid too.
