I bought it last year and also got 15% off for trading in my old router. Router has been working fine so far, no issues.

Bought this last year when it was on sale and returned it after a couple weeks of trying to get it to work right.

Constant drops were one thing; I had to restart it at least once a day. But the real kicker was, if I kept diagnostic tools up while gaming, I always got so much packet loss (People may not notice unless they have those tools running, because it doesn't show in your ping). But it wasn't the case with my previous ASUS AC router. (This is with both wired and wireless. There is no reason a router should deliver this much packet loss with a wired connection.)

I really did spend my weeks with this router trying to get it to work. Finding whatever solutions I could online. But nothing worked. Maybe they fixed it with firmware update by now (for those affected like I was), Idk. Its been since January.

Decided to pay more and go back to ASUS (AX + Merlin). It's just so much more stable. I like that I can just turn it on, set it up, and never worry about it again.

I noticed that this one was the same price last year. Someone also mentioned that you can use the recycle and save program at Best Buy to get an extra 15% off the price.

Anyone have this router and can comment on performance? I have a lot of home automation devices along with the regular stuff (TVs, laptops, gaming devices) and my current router usually needs to be reset at least once a week.

works fine.
UI a bit slow, check for new firmware DOES NOT work. There was an update out there had to manually download and issue an update. V1.0.3.96_2.0.59

annoying that they try to sell the Netgear Armor utility

Pretty good. My house is around 2400 sq ft. and I can connect to it anywhere in the house. I put the router in the middle of my house.

How does this compare to the Netgear mesh system at Costco for $170? Which will give the best results with GB fiber internet.

I currently have a Asus ac1900 that I might use as a range extenders also.

A mesh should be better in getting a good signal. Especially if you already use repeaters.

How do you do the recycle and save? In store only? I am pretty sure I have my old linksys router in the basement somewhere I could trade.

I can attest to this, not this exact netgear but I've been having issues with various netgear routers the last couple years and even TP link this past year. I just ordered an ASUS RT56U WiFi 6 router recently and gonna try it. I'm hoping it's gonna be more stable

Picked this up at the same price last year and love it. Only two minor complaints.

1) can't seem to disable the buttons on the front panel and my toddler loves to press them and turn off the wifi.

2) off-site management seems to require the mobile app.

my store had one left in stock so i ordered it for pickup. I am hoping they are cool with a return and rebuy when I bring in an old router to trade in for the discount.

I like netgear and specifically I think their app for management works well enough. Haven't used others to compare. Really hope it can keep a stable connection

Currently using this router. I have 1 gig internet. Only outputs 400ish with most up to date firmware. Had to flash old firmware to push gig. Netgear is notorious for pushing firmware updates that cause issues.
