That's like asking the difference between an Applebee's steak and Ruth's Chris. The AU8000 is an entry level model with no local dimming, low brightness, no wide color gamut, therefore poor HDR performance, lack of HDMI 2.1 and VRR. The QN85 is a high-end model that has excellent HDR and brightness, HDMI 2.1 with native 120Hz, VRR, auto-low latency, mini-LED backlighting. Basically, they are at complete ends of the spectrum, especially for Samsung models.

Sorry if this is a repost. I missed out on the previous deal with the free galaxy buds for 2999. Just ordered one for $2640 plus tax, Seems like a great deal and lower than the previous deal but without the buds.

Suck it up Sony. Selling crappy X95J for 3500+ with 0 innovation. I just wish Samsung supported DV. But nontheless I am very happy with my 85" QN90A that I paid around $2806 from last sale.

Oh no, I'm sorry! I wasn't sure as I don't have access to the EPP price. I can confirm that both 75" and 85" work for EDU pricing. I'll update EPP on the post.

This makes me want to see if I still have access to my Alumni EDU account. I'd be ready to pull the trigger on the 75" if it was available to me.

Is it a way to quantify how much better the picture is when you watch regular tv?
