GameStop's new promo for Pro Members is they are matching the cash value of the Switch trade-in with the store credit. So you will get either $220 cash or $220 in store credit. Normal the cash value is less.

If you just want to sell your Switch and use the money else where to buy an OLED or whatever, this is not a bad option. It's easier than selling on Ebay, Craiglist etc.

Yes, they offered 260 trade in credit but I still take the 220 cash, GS giftcards can be had for 20% off so why would I take that 260 credit?

Digital games are tied to the owner of the eshop account that registered or linked to the console. This isn't Wii fiasco.

Can confirm it is still running as of today. 220 if you want cash or 260 for in-store credit.

If you're capable of tweaking hardware, don't sell yours. The OG switches will rise in value because they are the ones that are hackable.

Man that's not even guarantee rate of return. Too votaile and speculative so I don't wanna waste time trying to hope for the max dollars possible when I can just get $220 and walk out in just minutes.

Just did it today (11/6) and was offered $220 cash or $260 in store credit and did the store credit (Pro Member rate, idk what regular is).

I traded in a switch today and when I said I wanted the cash they said they could give store credit value ($260) on a visa gift card. The girl said they just recently started offering this option. Store was in Plano, TX 75093. Was a nice surprise when I was just expecting the $220.

The thing with a visa gift card is you have to pay tax vs. not paying tax with trade in credit.
