Thanks for posting! Seems like a slick deal to me.

Here is a helpful review I found:
https://www.notebookcheck.net/MSI...011.0.html

Upgrading Ram (2x SO-DIMM) or m.2 slots (2x M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4) might be a pain based on this review teardown showing extensive use of adhesive foil.

It's too bad they made it a pain to upgrade especially with it being a gaming laptop.

This MSI has lower resolution screen but better graphics. This one is better for gaming while the legion is better for watching 4k videos because you won't be able to game on 4k and even somewhat struggle on 1080p with that graphics card.

Yeah, I have been wondering if there is extra power hidden in the cards. I wonder if the software updates will unlock some power later.

Ugh, no USB-C charging...why can't manufacturers make that a standard? We all have USB-C chargers around the house, and even 25w would get the job done in a pinch.
It's a gaming laptop. USB-C/Thunderbolt can support (for now) up to 100W, which is less than what is needed.

Is 240hz even worth it? I'm sure a 120hz with better pixel response would do better than 240hz

For anyone that was wondering whether or not this could be alright for mining, it does about 39MH/s, so it would take over 12 months to make your money back at this price. Not really a good investment for mining. For gaming, it is a pretty sweet deal. Not as great as it being an RTX 3070, but still nice for the price.

Many gaming laptops will still charge on usb but you won't get full wattage from gpu

Yeah I paid for my PC from last year that has a 3060 TI, but it took MANY months of ethereum mining. I actually ruined my 1660TI laptop doing mining... now it needs repasted, and its just a PITA to do it.

I mean I guess people can see it as 12 months to get a "free" laptop (hopefully). People jump through more hoops to get phones that take 24 months to recoup the cost on through bill credits and etc.
