I've had my eye on it for awhile, but $100 was too much. Direct from the company is $75. With this deal, it's only $50+tax, which isn't bad.

It's basically an Ardunio board, some components, and a story that drives you to build things with them to teach electronics and coding. I'm hoping with the story, my daughter will want to work on this with me to at least learn a little bit. For $75 or $100, I wasn't willing to take the risk, but for $50, I am.

Looks like a fun kit, but even at $50 it's probably cheaper to buy a generic kit with an arduino duo r3 which doesn't modify the arduino design.

Agreed that the components are probably cheaper, but I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks to support the company make those videos in hope that my kid will want to work on it and if she enjoys it, the company might put together more video projects like that. Fingers crossed, anyway.
