Like others have mentioned I was able to pick up a OM4 on the Amazon warehouse 40% off last month also. This was my first gimbal but they are great if you do any kind of videos with your phone.

From my research there wasn't much of a difference between the OM3 and OM4 besides the OM4 magnetic mounts and no need to calibrate the gimbal each time you use it.

Besides the stronger motors in the OM4, the OM4 affixes with the magnetic clamp, either secured by an "ring" attachment on your uncased phone or a magnetic holder which will hold it lengthwise. DJI genuine replacements cost $20/$30 on Amazon/eBay so pray you don't lose them. Also check the reviews on OM5, it's is getting trashed on Amazon (3.8 rating) due to poor stabilization and weight issues with bigger phones. Who would have thought stabilizing a heavy phone on a thin pole wouldn't work?

Yeah.. I think it's great. I've used it multiple times to put together some basic real estate walkthrough videos for clients. Most phones do 4k and with proper lighting give a nice effect. Not everyone needs an expensive gimbal that supports a DSLR camera.

It's also nice that if you set it up in a selfie mode and click your face it will follow you in your shot very well. You can place it directly on the table with the included tripod. So if she does commentary or like makeup videos it's perfect.

One thing that sucks is the tripod doesn't fit in the case. It comes with an extra bag that you can keep it in. It's easy to throw in a backpack or pop it in your glovebox of your car as well.

Overall for the money it's worth it and meets expectations that are realistic.

OM5 is having issues with heavier phones (13 Pro Max) and the battery only lasts a fraction of the OM4. I'd recommend looking at your specific use case before going with the OM5.

Any experiences with newer Samsung Android phones like S21 Ultra? I'm reading that the MIMO app does not allow recording in 60fps, no matter the resolution and you basically have to set up your gimbal settings beforehand then switch to the Samsung camera app to do your actual recording. How annoying is this user experience?

edit: also reading the S21 Ultra is a bit too heavy for the motors in this gimbal. I guess I'll look elsewhere.
