Thanks to Deal Hunter daisybeetle for finding this deal.

Prices after promo code MTFC20:Key Features:
  • Best For:
    • Surface: Road, Gyms, Flats
    • Category: Neutral Cushioned; Intended for runners who have a higher, more stable arch that does not pronate excessively (roll inwards) or may even supinate (roll outwards). Neutral Cushioned shoes offer very little or no structure or pronation support and are generally more flexible than stability shoes. Runners who require a neutral shoe tend to notice more excessive wear on the lateral (outside) side of the soles of their running shoes. Neutral shoes can vary from lightweight and minimal cushioning to maximum levels of cushioning depending on the needs and preferences of the runner. Runners with high/stable arches tend to notice pain on the outside (lateral side) of their shins and knees and may also battle plantar fasciitis if not wearing a neutral cushioned shoe.
  • Benefits Include:
    • PWRRUN+ midsole cushioning provides more flexibility, durability, and springiness in a foam that's 25% lighter
    • New midsole geometry makes for a snappier ride
    • New blown rubber outsole makes for a snappier ride and increases durability and traction
    • TRIFLEX design makes for quick transitions and enhances flexibility
    • Engineered mesh upper with 3D Print overlays provides strategic flexibility and structure
    • FORMFIT system provides a luxurious custom-like fit
  • Specifications:
    • Weight:
      • Women's: 9.7oz
      • Men's: 11.1oz
    • Heel-to-Toe Offset: 8mm
    • Cushion Level: Max Cushion
    • Pronation Support Level: Neutral

As others said, Endorphin Speed and Triumph are for different but both important purposes. The Speed are most useful for faster intervals and racing while Triumph is miles-eater, daily shoe. I do about 10-15% of my mileage in Speed and rest in my Triumph. I use two pair of Triumph at a time to rotate between them so Triumph1, Speed, Triumph2, Triumph1, Triumph2 is my weekly rotation. Both are for neutral runners, Triumph has more cushion and structural support while Speed has nylon plate, smaller sole surface and lighter upper which is nice for weight but not great for extra miles of pounding out easier runs.

This is within $10 of best price Triumphs get. I like my 18's nearly as much as newer 19's and at this price I'd no doubt buy 18's over 19's. The one generation older than newest Triumphs are found at this price about every couple months until there's an even newer model. If I didn't already have 3 various pairs in waiting, I'd be buying another pair today.

How do these compare to the endorphin speeds? Got a pair of the speeds and they are probably the best pair I have owned in a long time, fit great, compliant and the energy return is fabulous.

I don't own any of them. But I know that the triumph is supposed to be for long distance or recovery runs as it is a well cushioned shoe. The endorphin speed has a nylon plate and less of a stack height as well as being lighter since it is meant to be for faster runs. In other words, it is a good shoe for your rotation but not exactly a shoe to compare or compete with the endorphin speed.

They're pretty much the opposite on Saucony's lineup. Speeds are lightweight with a nylon plate in them and can be used for racing or as a great tempo shoe. Triumphs are quite a bit heavier and are intended as a maximalist easier pace shoe. That being said they're both equally great options for two different uses.

I love my Triumph 18s. Definitely not a speed shoe but the cushion is fantastic for my daily short three mile runs.

I own these 18s and my wife has the endorphin speeds. What you say above, I concur with as far as my knowledge goes. I was having what I believe is Metatarsalgia pain develop with my brooks ghost 11 after 300 or so miles. When running in the triumphs, I do not get the pain. I will say though they feel a bit heavy on my feet and I feel like the back of the foot area sits a bit higher than I like in a shoe. Going to keep using them though. My wife loves her ES's. She's much more a runner than me. Not sure if she plans to use them for her marathon upcoming or not however, though she did 2 legs of the ville to ville extreme this past September in her ESs

Is this good for casual runner? Like one 4 mile run and some light casual basketball a week?
