First post! But it's a good one. I've been watching this tent for a while, almost bought for over $300. I was really happy to see this price.

On hot summer nights it could be brutal so we would swim in the lake before bed to cool down. We fished a lot on our days off. We hunted for cool looking rocks along the creek and we lay out under the stars on many nights and saw some cool meteor showers. We visited the library and we read a lot of books. We had no tv but we did have a small pocket radio that we would play music on while we fished or snuggled up under the stars. We didn't go to any movies or waste any money. We did buy presents for people on Christmas but we put a $20 limit per person on it.
It wasn't all fun and fluff, we did have some days when we questioned our sanity and almost gave up and went back to the city. Overall it was the most amazing time of our lives but now at my age, I don't know if I'd want to rough it like that again. After 2 years we had saved $160,000 dollars. That was a huge amount to us at the time. We invested it into 2 dividend stocks and moved back to town and bought a small house. My wife went back to college and I went back to work travelling all over the country. I retired at 35 years old and she just retired at 44. Now we are thinking of buying a RV and travelling but until then we sleep late, watch Netflix, enjoy family and friends and live as stress free as possible.
If you ever wanna get away from society and save a lot of money, consider a year or 2 in a tent lol. These days, I'd invest in a small Honda Generator that sips gas and get a portable AC unit for the tent. I'm too old for toughing it out 100% anymore.
