Appears to be for new lines only. I'll doubt anyone is trying to get Sprint new lines now-a-days.

Yes, but the two companies are still practically separate right now.

You can 'kinda' use each other's network. Both companies now roam on each other's network. Your simcard determines which network you are on. Sprint sim = Sprint network, roam T-Mobile if there is no Sprint signal. Reverse is true for T-Mobile sim. Sprint users can also permanently switch to T-Mobile sim with Sprint roam.

Sprint accounts are still Sprint accounts; you can move from Sprint to T-Mobile account wise, but the process is a huge hassle. It's probably gonna take them a few years at least to migrate 55m Sprint accounts.

As a result of this, Sprint customers cannot take advantage of T-Mobile offers, but in many cases T-Mobile offers are copied more or less and offered as Sprint offers. But the challenge is that not many stores now carry Sprint phones, so it is far more annoying for Sprint users to upgrade.

If they offered the deal to get rid of my CDMA phone, I'd have jumped on it. But noooooo, they want me to change plans.

Just upgraded Note 8 and Note 9 to Pixel 6 Pro's on Sprint.
They gave Note 8 $600 credit and Note 9 only $450. The Note 8 rate is not published, you have to chat with them. They are saying it's not going to be compatible come January and they offer higher $ for trade in.

Forgot to say that I am on a lowest Military plan. $100 for 4 lines.

Thanks for posting. Was originally looking at buying direct from Google and they were only offering $140 trade in on my Pixel 4. This way I was able to get $450 and I'll still be able to keep my SWAC plan with unlimited everything for $35 per month.

I just chatted with Sprint this morning and using their website, I can upgrade my LG G8 with a $300 upgrade value to get the Pixel 6 for free without changing my current Freedom Plan.

I did this to upgrade 2 Pixel 2s to Pixel 6s. I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support & 3 hours in the T-Mobile store to try to get them activated. The District Manager was there & she even called someone higher up. No one was able to get them activated. Tried Sprint, T-Mobile & E-sim cards. Super frustrating. To those who switched, can you let me know how you activated them? I really want to keep them!

That's horrible. We really need new phones but I'm leery of upgrading them. Hopefully someone can help me.

I have 3 phones on the Sprint Kickstarter plan... $45 monthly. One if the phones needs to updated by Jan. By doing this deal would have to move to new more expensive plans. I'm just going to buy an unlocked pixel 6 outright to avoid the plan change.

I'm in the Kickstart v1 plan and was able to get the Pixel 6 for free without changing the plan. The line has a phone without the B71 band so I'm getting the "free 5G phone on us" offer plus the "$450 trade in". Oddly enough the Pixel 6 Pro wasn't getting any discounts, only the Pixel 6.
