This is absolute garbage compared the an M1 mac, especially if you consider the price it can be had as a refurb with education or military stacked on top.
The difference is orders of magnitude from almost every perspective.
The only reason to get one is if you need to run Windows via Bootcamp or some virtual machine., which is a valid use case for some people. It's a pretty nice all-in-one machine if you want to run Windows.
If you're running all Mac Apps, better to get a Macbook Air and an external monitor than this. Compatibility is already fine and Rosetta stone 2 is shockingly good. Remember when Apple migrated from Motorola CPUs to Intel CPUs? Yeah those old Macs became useless to everyone except some companies who never rewrote their software for x86. If you don't need backwards compatibility, go with M1. The premium is worth it. Intel Macs are only worth it at less than half price if you don't need x86.

So true. You could just buy a MBA for $750 and a monitor. That way you'd have a desktop and a laptop.

Sadly you don't get best buy reward points for it.
Just know it has no DVD/CD slot you have to buy that extra
