I purchased the same ram in 32gb config, 16x2 but they accidentally sent me 32x2. so I have 64gb for the price of 120 I think it was.
anyway, I have a costco msi ge76 with i7-11800h and 3060 rtx. im the leader w my cpu/gpu combo in usa according to the benchmarks. it went up a few hundred points after I did ram.

I ordered this Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (linked below) because it was in stock locally for $1,399.99. I want to upgrade the SSD to something larger. And reviews say the RAM that comes in this machine is terrible, but I wonder if it is really worth upgrading for a casual gamer like myself.
I cant say its the best on the market, but when I was shopping, every single ram I looked at all had the same CL22 speeds, and it was a def improvement over the stock MSI ram. dont think you'd be disappointed.

Thank you! I fixed that typo and added onto my reply, but in the meantime you replied. LOL
if it was from amazon you could return it.
I dont trust Newegg return policy. Jarrod tech will tell you which ram to buy, he did a video of stock ram and aftermarket ram in his Lenovo legion 5 I think he has, buy what he bought. -- or look up the ram he bought and compare the timings and cl vs what he bought.
ram can be impacted by intel vs Ryzen too, also windows 11 can affect Ryzen more than intel. double check that before you upgrade to w11
I upgraded w11 just fine and it works great.

I don't like Newegg either because of a bad experience with them losing a return of mine.
I will check the videos out.
I don't have a dog in the fight of AMD vs Nvidia. I got the Ryzen because the laptop was a great deal!

yeah it is. I was looking at it.
heres my slick deal brag. I got my MSI GE76 for 1150 (it was 1199) price mistake, was supposed to be 1299, and I used a 50 off 500 coupon, making it 1150. It took over a week to ship./got slightly lost. so I complained, they knocked off 150 bucks!
Got this for 1k. then I spent 120 for 64gb of ram. I did spend 200 though and put a PCIE 4 SSD samsung pro in main nvme slot since w11 in future will give some fps benefits possibly with pcie 4 potential.
so im around 1300-1400 deep in mine. but this is a desktop replacement, my iMac is my baby for work, this is purely for steam / gaming. I have played sea of thieves on it pretty heavily, and its wonderful. like 150fps+ https://www.costco.com/msi-ge76-r...63831.html
all the rgb lights tho I keep off, dont care for lights.
oh! and I get 2% back from costco credit card and another 2% back from costco executive member + 4 year warranty. (costco perk, 2 year w laptop, another 2 years w credit card

edit, another comment.
I wouldn't upgrade 16gb crap ram, to 16gb better ram. if you are going to UPGRADE. double it, go from 16 crappy ram, spend a little more, go to 32gb better ram. thats my opinion, 16gb crap to 16gb better isnt worth it. prob wont even notice the difference.
I think doubling the ram up is good though. future proof a little, and opens up more resources. when I first got my MSI it was like 70% ram usage during gaming. eh, thats why I went ahead and upgraded from 16
32gb. same one I bought but received 64 lol. but dont count on that happening to you. someone fat fingered it. 50 more bucks, its better ram than stock probably, but doubling.
edit found this comment under the reviews above-- dont know if this would really affect you. but look @ Jarrods tech video, he shows the "timings in both his stock and aftermarket ram" and compare those timings, to these numbers this guy posted below. thats what I would do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Runs 3200 without XMP, Slow TRFC sub timings.

Reliable ram, error free, good value.
Runs as 3200MHz without the need for XMP profiles or increasing voltage.
Slow subtimings TRFC(ns): 550, TRFC: 880 so wouldn't be ideal for AMD gaming machines.

the 16x2 32gb link above, the guy posted the subtimings, so I went to Jarrodstech and compared to his stock and after market stick.
this has the same sub value as his crappy stock ram. the new ram he bought that was faster, had diff timings than this stick.
for me, (intel) its fast, but sounds like AMD, and intel, run differently with ram stuff. and this brand/line isnt going to be the best perf for you
just play it, and you may not need any ram upgrades, I didnt, but I did it just because I could/like tinkering. in all actuality, I dont need to be the 1st on that leaderboard Lol. but its cool to be,
