For $10, why not? I'm not a coffee expert though. Any reasons to not get this as the first grinder? I don't drink espresso if that matters.

Metal blade grinders aren't great as they merely break up the coffee beans into nonuniform chunks. Research a ceramic burr grinder effectiveness versus metal blade grinder. This is ok if you're just starting out, on a budget, don't care, etc. but if you want a great cup of coffee ceramic burr or at least metal burr is a lot better.

You can get a manual hand grinder for $20-50, an entry level electric for $50-100 or a nicer Baratza for $150+

Agreed there was a decent change when I moved onto a burr grinder from the blade. You can make a good cup with a blade but it requires more work to make the coffee more uniform.

You can even find cheaper electric burr options than $50.
I think there's a portable electric one on Amazon for like $23 or so.

Agree with this post. I used a Braun whirlyblade chopper like this one for coffee for years.

I only moved to a burr grinder when I got into making espresso (my Rancilio machine was very picky about grind).

I'd argue that using this is still better than buying ground coffee.
