If that solves your problem even temporarily, then you've found the cause that's good. Otherwise you may just have a defective unit. My non-LG soundbar did the same thing until I read about the static thing 🤷

I could see how someone could really manipulate Amazon here, but I have no issue with anything I received or asked for, because I was just like truthful with my motives and what I told them. I never expressed aggravation toward them for not being able to cancel. But I kept trying anyway, until it was shipped. If one had a slippery morale compass I guess you could play this game with Amazon on any large purchase you made. Even if I had no intention of sending back, I wouldn't want to accept the risk of karma in this situation. But it's good to know that they do work with people. Having said that, my friend is mad because everytime he chats with customer service they bend him of the rails for things truly out of his control. Lol. Like I told him, a lot of times it depends on who you get.

Sounds good. Was just wondering if it was something I could replicate, but not the case then. Yeah, Amazon can be helpful like that sometimes, but usually not. So you got really lucky. They also won't extend that kind of curteousy too many times usually. Maybe they were extra helpful to you because you hadn't done many exceptions like that and/or the box is massive and return shipping would cost them a lot, especially for a item they have discontinued.
Here is the rebate for the ear buds. Somebody linked it on page 1 of this thread. I haven't filled it out or done it yet, but I did confirm the model# was on the applicable list.

Good luck selling yours. I know rn I'm debating keeping v.s. selling mine. Mostly though bc I'm unsure that I can mount these well above my TV (which is kind of my only option atm), since they are upward firing speakers which apparently aren't the best for above mounting.
