If you are traveling so far why not go to an actually beautiful greener place, maybe 50% cheaper, lots of crazy 5 star places with similar food and warm people like? There are lots of them this is just one example

Also you can check out other cities, Marmaris, Kusha dasi, Bodrum.

Nothing against Greece, it's a wonderful place. But for $400?? Heck no, overrated. Remember they have massive inflation so $400 to them is a lot more compared to a year or two ago, it's not like hotels are paying their staff more or all of their expenses have gone up. In turkey you actually see the US$ hotel prices are dropping because of inflation they have as well.

Looks nice, but its between two towns, so you would need to rent a car, take a taxi or take the bus to get to restaurants, shopping and night life. You will not be staying in Oia (famous for sunsets) or Fira (where most of the travel photos are taken). Also, the prices on Santorini have tripled this past summer.
