The 9" lodge cast iron wok is available on a sale price $21.40 in Amazon. This wok had never been on a sale atleast for the past 4 years. A great addition to cast iron cooking.

this is very small, and cast iron is a terrible material for a wok due to it's huge thermal mass. Ive had this for years and have literally never used it because it's got no real purpose to exist.
OP, thanks for sharing. I wouldn't say that this has never been "on sale". Camel^3 indicates that the price on this fluctuates frequently, although the $21.40 price is the lowest it has been since 2019. It was briefly around $24 in late 2020.
I cook almost exclusively in cast iron, and almost exclusively lodge.
A wok is the one piece I wont buy. Simply not the right material for the type of foods cooked in a wok. Too heavy and too slow to heat/cool for stir-fry, sauces can often sear to the pan.
For this one specifically, too small to cook in but it can be a nice serving dish if youre into that.
I'd think this wok would be good only for making Korean dolsot bibimbap or maybe a Mexican molcajete dish where both of those normally use a stone bowl/mortar. It's not going to replace a regular carbon steel wok.

Camel is no good, use Keppa amazon price checker. This lodge wok was $13.99 on two occasions this month. The Keppa web browser extension is great bc you can see the prices on the amazon page.
I own some cast iron, carbon steel, and aluminum . The carbon steel wok/deep frying pan would be a better choice because is much lighter. It is also metal utensil friendly.
