- This has both Ram slots user accessible and you can go up to 64GB.
 - No Keyboard Backlit! At least on the one I got (Serial ***1331X) Please update this if different when you get yours
 - Wifi card on mine is Realtek RTL8852AE. This is Wifi 6 and BT5.2 so I guess it's not bad, but a lot of people might prefer intel AX200. Also feel a little misleading by WM description! Pease update this when you get yours

The box does say model 15-eh1070wm. So I am wondering if we are having multiple builts! I think we need more people to buy and find out....
Can others who have received it confirm if it has a backlit KB or not, and what WiFi card do these lappys have … as one of those has connectivity issues.
I think I will go with the $600 16GB Lenovo laptop from Costco.
The current Ryzen 7 (over Costco's intel i5) laptop, though has 8GB ram, caught my attention and I was excited to be able to pick it up today.
Thanks
But at $600 right now, this is not very remarkable in any way

Any recommendations for a similar spec laptop in this price range?
How is the $630 Amazon deal?

This says 32gb max?

. Also, try to remove one module and boot with one at a time and see if work if you still cant get it to boot even after waiting a long while .
We have HP laptops at work that cost almost double the price of their consumer versions, and they are awful. We tend to go them every 2 years due to failing parts, but at least those have 3 year warranties.
With that being said, just imagine how cheap they go with a consumer version, that does not have that same warranty. This might be best just being a used only at home.
Both have annoying issues which are not easy to address. The Costco one has a weird power glitch/freeze in a specialized software package, the Staples one has an annoying sounding fan. Also, it seems that the 4 core intel is way hotter than the 8 core Ryzen chip. Both these laptops sometimes keep fan on in Standby mode for some time after going to Standby (seriously???). I have never seen fan on in Standby before.
At work, the IT has been fighting the swelling battery issue in the business HP laptops.
A cheap BF 2020 Lenovo on the other hand does exactly what you expect. No weirdness. It just works. Even with 1/2 of RAM soldered, I almost forgive this indiscretion
This does shake my faith in HP quality somewhat - not the hardware I used to like ...
