So tempting, but then I realized I've got two USB-A ports on my laptop. One's taken by a wireless mouse, so the other would've been used by this and I can't plug in presentation cable.

Fyi not compatible with Nintendo switch. This is the older 300 version. Manufacturer stated the newer 305 version is compatible though.

I could use one, but think one of the better USB C hubs with Gigabit Ethernet would be the better choice, even if in the $30 range. Been using a VAVA without Ethernet for a year with no issues. Might be time to step up. At $10, this could work fine. I like TP-Link.

I looked at a couple of USB hub with ethernet options before picking this one since my laptop has only one USB A and one USB C port. There are too many reports of heating issues with the all-in-ones and some with dropping connections when other ports are in use. So, was not sure how reliable those were and many of the good ones were not very portable for travel.

Figured a better option is to use this when a temporary connection is needed with no other USB connections when traveling and keep a well built USB hub that could connect to A or C on the desk to which this can be attached if and when necessary.

For $10, keeping one around will come in handy sooner or later. Especially if having issues with wifi router or card in the laptop or you need to reconfigure the router for which you need to be connected by ethernet!

They were open to order when I stumbled on it and posted.

People could put it in the cart while they were closed and purchase right when they opened so the window might have been very, very small from SD effect. Smilie
