I think the pro also has a higher TDP 3070 (like 140w instead of 130w), and one more heat pipe for presumably better cooling.

For those comparing this laptop to others with faster processors, etc., keep in mind that a 5800 will run a lot faster than a throttled 5900 in a thin or poorly-cooled laptop.

The RAM in this Walmart laptop is the slow tRFC timings. You'll want to upgrade to new RAM if you want the best gaming performance.

Yes, the RAM and storage are not soldered, and so you can replace them no problem.

I ordered this exact computer for same price 2 weeks ago from Walmart and it still hasn't shipped. Meanwhile my card was charged immediately.

Was able to chat with a Walmart rep and it's said that the item was out of stock at the time I placed the order. Bummer. It may take awhile before I can get my hand on this it seems. I wish I knew the $1399 brickseek trick.

Not really. It is just at the time I placed the order, it was already out of stock I think. So the original batch on 10/22 where I put my order was already gone. My order has to be on the next batch which hopefully today or some next few days.

Looks like you can still get the Discover 5% cash back for Walmart.com when buying in-store:

I checked brickseek and saw 3-4 at a distant store. So I went to Walmart's site and selected that store as my primary. I could then add the laptop to my cart for in-store pickup. I paid with my Discover card with the 5% cash back for Walmart.com activated… the charge shows up as Walmart.com so I'm pretty sure I'll get the cash back along with the in-store discount.

Technically a Gen4 PCIe NVMe will work, but it only has a Gen3 PCIe controller so you won't get any better than Gen3 speeds.
