I think the pro also has a higher TDP 3070 (like 140w instead of 130w), and one more heat pipe for presumably better cooling.

For those comparing this laptop to others with faster processors, etc., keep in mind that a 5800 will run a lot faster than a throttled 5900 in a thin or poorly-cooled laptop.

The RAM in this Walmart laptop is the slow tRFC timings. You'll want to upgrade to new RAM if you want the best gaming performance.

Yes, the RAM and storage are not soldered, and so you can replace them no problem.

I ordered this exact computer for same price 2 weeks ago from Walmart and it still hasn't shipped. Meanwhile my card was charged immediately.

Ok, I'm dumb. This came with 512 gb ssd. I want to add more. There is a 2nd slot for adding more inside. Should I just add the new 1tb to the open slot, or should I move the original 512 to the open slot and put the 1tb in its place. Would there be any noticeable difference if I did that?

Unless you want the new drive to be your windows os/boot drive I would just add it to the 2nd slot and format it.

The bottom case is a real bear to get off. If you don't have a spudger, you can use an old credit card to very carefully get between the panel and case. It's a bit easier once you get one or two of the clips to open up. Just go slow and gently pry an inch or so at a time.

walmart has cancelled my pickup order three times now, even after talking to them on the phone and getting "approved" to make the purchase. Guess my only choice is to drive down and see if I can find it in the store myself.
