This model ships with 1x USB-C 2.0 (support data transfer, Power Delivery 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.1a) port, with video out capability to an external monitor. This Chromebook 3 14 supports up to 2 independent displays via native display and 1 external monitor; supports external monitor via USB-C (up to 1920x1080@60Hz). If you are connecting an HDMI monitor with a USB-c adapter, be sure the adapter and the cable you are using is compatible with DisplayPort 1.1a version. Check the resolution settings within your monitor.

So yes, no HDMI, but you can utilize the USB-C 2.0 port for an external display.

This is the first Chromebook in the recent slew of deals that looks like a real winner. 14", 1080p, decent processor for this price. Really tempted to bite even though I don't really need it.

It looks like the AUE (Auto Update Expiration) date is June 2028. Very nice.

I think you put too much emphasis on this single benchmark. It has 8 cores so apps that use them do very well. Apps that do not do not do as well.

The point is this may not be as snappy but it should work well. Especially at this price range.

Sure if you want snappy get the N4020 the N4000 is slower. Or real snappy pay even more and get an I3.

As a long time Chromebook user from the beginning, except for the first free one, when someone mentions Octane they are primarily probably like me and mainly a web browser user.
