I haven't had luck with locking pliers. Is it just me? Maybe the Chinese ones I've tried were the culprit?

A fair amount more expensive than these, but Harbor Freight's midrange Taiwanese locking pliers are some of the better pairs I have seen. Better than pretty much all the American name Chinese metal locking pliers you can get.

Order was canceled immediately for me. 47 in stock at the store so they may not be honoring it.

Edit- a different store filled the order when I placed it again. No reason given for the cancellation
