i don't think so, UniFi does not even sell the low cost cameras on their site. their app also needs a lot of work. overall it looks like they are trying to target businesses and server side of things. they have a long way before they can come head to head with eufy

"Already"? Who uses language like that? Are you 13?

If you are buying an outdoor camera it is critical to know if it is wired or wireless.

Agreed. As an owner (entire network at home is UniFi), I tried out their $30 dollar cameras. While they are nice, the app is terrible. Not intuitive or easy to use. Lacks a lot of features everyone else has standard. No HomeKit either. I don't use those cameras anymore.

I don't see how deflecting about low cost cameras not sold on their site has anything to do with one being better over the other. Saying their app needs a lot of work, HA! Clearly you've not been reading the number of folks complaining about the lack of firmware updates at Eufy. I have a number of friends who use the G4 doorbell paired with the Dream Machine Pro for awesome unparalleled results! Eufy is not the best and it's fine that you really love them, but making a blanket statement that they are was ridiculous. Read the pages of user complaints in this thread. Cheers Peace

So which Brand are you using? Confused Here you say you use UniFi, but earlier you said Eufy:

Could not DISAGREE more.

I have Eufy cameras and while they are good, they are not "beasts" by any means. Their AI is horrible. Geo fencing is also horrible. I would be amazed if a Eufy product did what it actually claimed. They keep mass producing crap products, diluting whatever credibility they had/were trying to build. Adding new, useless products nobody wanted while their current ones get renamed, fragmented and never updated.

To top it off, you are BOMBARDED with constant spam for REFERRAL incentives/cash/links/freebies. It's terrible.
It looks like a lot more negatives on the Eufy. Peace

Eufy is the best for the price, especially the lower end of wifi cameras and IOT alike. The brand that you indicated is a small player in contrast, while they may have some offerings, at the end if you do a comprehensive head to head comparison it's obvious who is on top.

And yes, the fact that they are unable to have the lower end price point cameras on their site only provide more insights about their scale of operation, and their app review only validates my conclusion.

Don't get me wrong, if they actually provided more value than the Eufy I would be all over their cameras and brand. But at this point they are simply not ready for prime time.

Good luck with eufy support. Their AI is crap. Below is their response to AI issues.

We appreciate your support on this issue. From the information you provided, please adjust the ignored zone of the doorbell, the attachment is for your reference. Since the position of the doorbell is close to the wall, which will sometimes affect the trigger of the motion sensor. If possible, please adjust the angle of the doorbell and make the view not included the wall.

If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to write back.

Based off the quote about Eufy in post 66 lower, and post 68, Eufy has a long way to go. Sure they have cheaper items, but they abandon them w/o firmware updates and move on to the next thing. I agree UniFi is a lot more expensive, but if you are a bit of a nerd and know what your doing, it's a great system. That said, I don't think either company is the best. If Eufy would actually follow through on firmware updates on their product, they would indeed be more bang for the buck. Like a poor mans UniFi basically. Peace

I have 4 different Eufy cameras. I liked their cameras and their comprehensive settings so I kept adding Eufy cameras in my house.

Recently, my phone Eufy app is randomly switched from "Away" to "Home" by itself. People reported that they could see other houses. That's not acceptable.

Unless Eufy fixes their security so hackers cannot play with our security systems, I would not recommend buying their security cameras even their cameras are ones of the best budget cameras.

i guess you where expecting for them to send someone out to your house to show you how to adjust the settings, because obviously them telling you what to do is not satisfactory to you. LMAO
i have several Eufy cameras and their Ai is the best. name me another company that has a built in Ai that rivals Eufys.

I have a generic (came with house) wired mini flood on rear porch corner. Can I splice into it and use it to power this 5 ft away?

I agree. Good luck with "broken" promises. I bought one 2K flood light in January reading similar marketing gimmick " please stay tuned, homebase support will be available in the future software updates ".
