FYI this deal is hackable. If you don't need either the tool or battery kit you can select in store pickup for the one you want and ship to home for the one you don't.

After you place the order you can cancel the ship to home through the home depot website and you get your tool for whatever price it shows.

The router comes out to $99.50 if you hack it

Really don't see a big difference between 4ah/6ah battery kit versus 5ah/5ah battery kit. Both kits include the same charger. The 6ah may come in use for heavier applications but can always be found separately cheaper during other times of the year.
This HD deal you also can get one of a variety of tools for "Free". I don't see that with Lowes, other than a light right now. Does Lowes have a free tool deal that stacks with the 20% off?

Yes they do, in fact they have more bare tools that qualify for this promotion versus Home Depot. I'm surprised it hasn't been promoted to the same extent here as the Home Depot one. The Lowes Holiday deals started yesterday at 12:01am. IMO, its a better a deal for those that need both (not one or the other). If you need two bare tools, you can add two battery kits and the two bare tools are free - with 20% off, that's an additional $80 off. If you need only one battery kit (with one bare tool included), its $40 off. Promotion runs between 10/25/21 - 1/5/21

Sometimes towards Christmas, Lowes adds additional qualifying bare tools to the promotion. However, the battery kit price stays the same as does Home Depot.

I've heard some great things regarding Dewalt's new compact Atomic impact driver, but doesn't qualify under this promotion. Would have been great to try it through the "hacked" price promotion

Debating between the jigsaw and the grinder. I've already got a brushless Ridgid grinder, but for cleaning up metal and welds it's nice to have 2 grinders with different wheels on them. Anyone own the jigsaw? What do you think of it?

This is awesome - thank you. An FYI for anyone who hasn't ordered yet, you have an extremely tight window to cancel the shipment part of your order - about 30 min, according to the rep I spoke with. I was too late and I'll need to either refuse the delivery or return the item to my local store. Not a problem, just a tip for others.

Do you have to pick up the tool before canceling the batteries? Or can you cancel right after making the order? I haven't done the hack before and would really like the circular saw.

Edit: I purchased and canceled the battery right away. Still shows the tool as pending.

I haven't done it before, either, so I'm not sure. I'm assuming that you can cancel the online part before picking up the other part in-store, but not 100% certain on that.
