As reported last time, a lot of warehouses now sell this product in the freezer section in reasonable quantities for $100/lb.

For *most* people this will be a more reasonable size and purchase. Unlike normal steak, 8 oz is a lot of wagyu for one person.
It's usually not "real" Wagyu unfortunately. At worst, it's typically just beef raised similarly and they are 100% lying, or at best it's actually imported breeds from Japan, but again raised in the US with similar standards, but never the exact same.

Agree, but maybe a $70,000 Golden pizza is worth to try..? 🤣

Ignorance is a great thing from that standpoint, nobody argues that. If you don't see the difference between an OLED and a 10 year old TV, you'll save thousands. If you think your cheap camera phone is as good as a pricey SLR or the latest top of the line ones, then by all means save all the money you need to.

Whether something is "worth it" or not is a silly concept to concern yourself with. Something worth it for me doesn't have to be worth it for you. I don't see the purpose of extremely expensive clothes, it's not my thing. My dress pants cost maybe $30 or less usually, I get them at the outlet mall. But I wear an Omega watch instead of a Timex and I drive a Lexus instead of a Toyota. Those things are worth it to me. I wouldn't go around denigrating those that spend money on nicer clothes but drive a Toyota, they value things differently. I know plenty of women with wardrobes they spent 5 figures on that drive Civics or Corollas and live in small apartments.

What in the world does that mean?
Im pretty sure 8 oz of muscle and fat are the same no matter what grade it is

You're both sort of wrong. Caloric intake doesn't necessarily "make you feel full", there're lots of high calorie foods that don't make you feel full (soft drinks, ice cream). But feeling full isn't just about volume either. And sometimes being able to eat a lot of something isn't even about feeling full, foods that are incredibly rich are much more difficult to eat large volumes of than something plainer.

Puck has clearly never had high quality steaks and has no interest in it. That's fine, but it's probably smarter to just stop pretending like you're making sense. Anyone that's ever had steaks with this high a fat content understands what's being said. You're unlikely to polish off 16oz of this like you would at Outback without starting to feel sick.

trick is to chase after a cow 5am in the morning with the tiny bit of the sun light to get that blue rare steak.

Great advice, but I didn't "denigrate" anyone, particularly not for preferring better made things.

You seem incredibly prolix on this topic. Why?
Are you trying to demonstrate your superiority by discussing your deep knowledge of high-end meats? I am sure le boucherie is happy for your patronage, but you seem to have misread my post.

I asked a question: what".
I am open to new information and I hadn't really been thinking of the fact that fattier meat would be more filling. To be honest, I wasn't aware that it had that much higher of a fat content, my understanding before this discussion was that it simply had better marbling(fat distribution). Thankfully, the good people of slickdeals provided me with some fantastic information. I come away from this entire episode with more knowledge, so I count that as a win.

Others seem insistent on disparaging me. Multiple posts pointing out what they perceive as my foible. I can attribute some of this malice to the nature of internet communications, but I am honestly disheartened by the level of scorn in response to a question.
