Some cars don't have USB C for plugging it in to access stuff like CarPlay or just play audio over USB instead of bluetooth. You can charge at 12w if you have a non usb c iPad charger to use with these cables which is better than the 5w and won't heat up your phone as fast

Has anyone had issues with any of these amazon brand cables? I've been meaning to buy some extras but and although the Amazon branded ones are cheap, I feel they might crap out easily. Anker brand cables seem to be well liked but they're a bit pricey.

Too bad I already ordered the 3 foot. Could have used the 6 instead and can't get past the limit of 1 per prime account.
