UPDATE: I see lots of confusion here and wanted to update the OP.
First off, I am a Costco guy myself and wouldn't pay for a Sam's Club membership.
If I get a $45 gift card for a $45 membership - it's FREE. I don't understand the debate.
On top of it, Amex Offer has been pretty reliable for me. And if it says $25 statement credit is on the table, I don't have reason not to believe it.
Update 2: data points suggest this deal does stack. Many users reported getting both Sam's gift card and Amex credit. It does take a loooong time, 5 weeks for the sam's gift card and 30 days for amex credit for me personally.

I chatted with Amex who told me I was not eligible for the $25 amex credit, I pushed back, got it escalated and 3 days later, the $25 amex credit was on my account!
Side note - I went into my local sams club and was so disappointed and disgusted. The layout was terrible, place was dirty, no good deals at all. Glad I only did this to make some money, but going right back to my beloved Costco

I signed up on 11/3. Got Amex credit on 11/26 with no email saying I used my offer. Previously in 2019, it took exactly 30 days to get the Amex credit. Still waiting on the $45 gc though.
