Only 10% off, but this is the first price drop that I've seen for this model. If like me you've been waiting for this one to go on sale, then this one's for you.

i've been wanting this

but have been staying away due to the real reviews* about it overheating, or the mechanism jamming

it's a relatively new tool (a cheapened out re-branded M18 hackzall), so i'm hoping that TTI fixes whatever is causing those problems

*when i say "real reviews" i mean the verified purchase reviews that aren't those Seed Reviews where the people got a free tool to write a glowing picture-filled puff piece

Tti has been making the hackzall for years and they still couldn't trickle down the tech to this one?

to be honest i'm not sure what the deal is with the ryobi version and what exact corners they cut to reach the $100 price point. for one thing, it looks like the top protrusion is smaller so i don't know if that's due to a smaller motor, or smaller heatsink, who knows.

i just get very concerned when i see Seed Review puff pieces, then actual verified purchase reviews (and a significant number of them) speaking the opposite

edit: stroke is much smaller than the M18
