That's one impressive guitar. Love the PRS line of electrics, so may need to add this to my Christmas list!

$700 for a laminate back and sides guitar is not a deal.

Get laminate Guild for cheaper and most likely better.

Actually, the Guild D140 is all solid wood for $750. On the other hand, the PRS comes with a case and even cheap cases have gotten pricey in the last year. Also, don't be so fast to knock laminate guitars, Guild D25s are laminate back and they're cannons. The Taylor 214 deluxe are laminate as well and they sound just about like every other Taylor.

That's what I'm saying... laminate Guilds are cheaper and sound better. My beaters are laminate and some sound pretty good.

I had been eyeing this for a while and this was just what I needed!

You can also theoretically save more if you use Musician's Friend's price matching. They give 8% back in rewards so you could get a little over $50 to spend on a future purchase. Also, Be Frugal has cashback on MusiciansFriend.com as well.

I've never used Be Frugal. Do they have cash back if I were to buy it from GC?

Way too much money for a laminated guitar! With PRS you mostly pay for the looks -you get fancy looking wood texture on the back and some bling binding on the front. This guitar does not even come with a built in tuner!

Also keep in mind - SE is their entry line (student edition).

Instead - look into Epiphone Masterbilt line - solid wood, superior construction.

Here's one of their models for regular price of $750:

Wait until Masterbilt on sale.
