I have this exact model (different brand) and it works fine. I have an iphone. My two cars ive used this on is a 2003 pontiac grand prix and a 2006 suzuki grand vitara.

Cons:
At least on iphone, you have to connect your wifi network to the device. So if you find an issue and close out of the app to research a code, youll have to connect back to a different wifi network or use mobile, small inconvenience
I believe i had to pay for the app i use in conjunction to using this, its just called "car scanner" and has a blue icon with the check engine light icon. Gives me lots of info about my car.

Why do I need this? AutoZone does it for free with far more reliable instrument.
What happens when your car won't make it to autozone for starters. And most autozones just have a standalone cheap Chinese code reader unlikely to be any more useful. That said this thing you get what you pay for and blue driver as mentioned above is overpriced to pay for good marketing of a very run of the mill product with support for only basic obd diagnostics. If you have a ford plunk down the cash for an obdlink Mx, if you have anything else research what supports the good stuff. Or save your money and leave it to the professionals.

Seeing as how you still have to pay for the app, why not just buy the obd2 reader for $20 at Walmart? If you're looking for the extra features from the app, then ignore what I mentioned.

most devices like this are a pain to slide on and off and can burn up your cars wiring with no manf liability...nothing personal against use or purpose of product or OP. just general old technology on the cars side

not a good product: not all readings are correct, some will give back a random number on purpose

I bought this last time it was on sale. Just a heads up. It does NOT work with Forscan. Has a clone/knockoff ELM327 chip inside that won't work with it. For just reading codes and resetting CEL its fine but be warned their software sucks pretty bad, You can use CarScanner or InCarDoc instead which are better made apps.
From my understanding, you need one with a physical HS/MS switch for it to work with Forscan

If you're asking this question you probably have to have them install your wiper blades too.
if you are giving this comment you probably have a very old car

Daily Steals are behaving really shady lately (perhaps they always did).

I got DS's 'deal' on a Samsung wireless charger. It was 'new in box'. But after everyone bought them up, they sent an email that said it was new, but in no fuss packaging, then asked to confirm I still wanted it. Had link to new description. So I go there and notice it says 'no accessories'. I thought ok, that's shady. Looks like they might skimp out on the USB C cable that came in the original new box. Looks like they are selling it as new, then tricking us in to buying it without new packaging (not a big deal to me) or the usb c cable (not a big deal to me).

Then they send me only the charger pad, and nothing else, not even the charger. The thing is it usess a proprietory or very finicky charger. So none of my chargers worked. And I have a lot of chargers, charger fanatic. All bases covered, including PPS chargers that are very smart.

So basically they just sent a bunch of stuff that was unusable few to zero people, and cashed in on everyone who didn't spend half their life going through all the hoops and returning it. Other buyers said their charger came with scratches, or used, not working. I can't verify that, or if the one I got was new. Mine was not scratched, but did notice it did not have any new manufacture smell.

I returned mine, and they gave me my money back. Thing is it cost a lot of time and it was very stressful because they were clearly shady and I didn't know how it was going to turn out, as I kept pouring time, and mental energy to resolve the situation.

I recommend not to buy from them, unless it's completly un-ignorably a good deal, and you have all your bases covered (like pay with paypal, who I'm starting to trust less too, cough).

They are hustlers. You might have to enter a wrestling ring every purchase.
I've made approximately 10 purchases through them and have never personally had an issue. Before attempting to order at all in the past I looked into a them and it felt shady, that was a long time ago. But then, I said, PayPal it is because the only stress is dealing with PayPal support asking you the same question 3 times in about a weeks time. If you ever do use PayPal checkout, I highly advise having a PayPal account first. This goes double for shady purchases as getting support for guest checkout purchases was an awful experience requiring me to compile information with every submission and it definitely increased resolution time on PayPal's end. I only used guest checkout because I was assisting another in getting purchase protection on a shady purchase from a different site that went sour, which I then had to troubleshoot that situation myself as well.

Overall, I've always received what was promised from Daily Steals. Most of the products I've received from them had packaging in a variety of languages but worked the same as any product meant for the United States. Off the bat I'd assume anything not in retail packaging probably isn't the best purchase from them. I imagine it's either bulk overstock (often items failing QC from manufacturer) or refurbished (claimed refurbished products from random distributors throughout the world). Don't get me wrong, I get refurbished and open box items all of the time where the products are typically individually checked for accuracy and working condition. Just not from Daily Steals.

MS CAN switch Is only required for MSCAN module support. I'm not sure what version (lite or PC etc) software the prior poster was using, I know Forscan will disable some functions with crappy quality readers, but I think code scans etc would still work even with a cheapie like this.

Is the site reputable or trustworthy? Asking since I see some deals from this site but haven't bought from them yet.
